2014 Year of the Horse - Filigree Horse 20.5 gram Silver Proof Fiji Coin

Initially introduced in the Year of the Rabbit, this design series features intricate hand-woven silver filigree as the centerpiece of each design.

This year’s Horse head design is particularly detailed, each piece requiring significant time to make. In the border surrounding the filigree design, a series of horse head silhouettes are featured together with the words ‘The Year of the Horse.

The obverse features the coat of arms of Fiji, the date, the monetary denomination and the silver purity.
